Extraordinary unemployment subsidy: when it is collected in March 2023

Date: March 27, 2023 Time: 13:57:13

Last week the unemployment data left a change in the positive trend of recent years and added a total of 2,618 unemployed. This reveals that a total of 2,911,015 citizens were unemployed. Job destruction was especially focused on the agriculture sector, but improved in the Services (-0.19%), Industry (-1.02%) and Construction (-1.07%) sectors.

Although in a few days the beneficiaries of unemployment aid will be able to receive unemployment in their bank accounts, not all users already have the requirements for it. And it is that those people who have been unemployed for more than a year and have exhausted the filing of contributory level unemployment can collect other additional help.

This is the extraordinary unemployment subsidy, which makes it possible to face the situation of lack of employment with an amount of almost 500 euros and for a single period of 180 days. Of course, let’s remember that it is important to comply with a series of requirements, the main one being not having the right to unemployment protection at the contributory level, that is, unemployment.

What days is the extraordinary unemployment subsidy charged?

In addition to not being able to receive unemployment, it will be possible for users to have incomes higher than 75% of the Minimum Interprofessional Salary in monthly calculation. And once it’s over, you can’t reapply for help later. Its amount is subject to 80% of the Multiple Effects Public Income Indicator (IPREM), which will be 480 euros, almost 30 euros more than it was before, due to the revaluation of 8.5% of the indicator as a measure to combat the high rate of inflation.

The most common thing is that banks make the payment of the extraordinary unemployment subsidy between the 10th and 15th of each month. As on this occasion the first day coincides with Friday, it is most likely that the entities will wait until the following Monday to proceed with operations, thus preventing the weekend.

However, it is possible that some banking entities choose to advance the payment to the days prior to the common date. Likewise, banks recommend checking it through mobile applications to avoid problems at ATMs. In this sense, the most common entities are the following:

SantanderBBVABanco SabadellCaixaBankBankinterCajamarUnicaja
