At the Amur region stand you can brandish a sledgehammer like the one used by the builders of the Baikal-Amur main line in the last century.

“Far East Street” was inaugurated at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2023) on September 10. The event will take place on Russky Island, a business program on the FEFU university campus. And the Ajax Bay embankment has become a kind of vanity fair (in the best sense!) of the regions.
From the embankment there is a beautiful view of the Russian Bridge.

Overall, the WEF is a complex and colossal event. It lasts a week and most of it is a business program. The participants came from countries in the Asia-Pacific region. But not everyone can see shiny stands and sign contracts in glass-enclosed meeting rooms. The regions of the Far Eastern Federal District invite visitors to see their cultural and industrial stands, a kind of “showcase”.
Regions choose original designs for their pavilions. Primorye designed part of the stand in the form of shipping containers.

“We just wanted to share our love with you.” To the forests, the cities, the rivers and the people. “We want you to touch this love and feel it,” said the presidential plenipotentiary envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev, in a welcoming speech to the guests on the street.
The Falcon House was also opened on the embankment. A conference on the conservation of this species of bird is being held at the World Economic Forum.

The atmosphere of the Street is reminiscent of some well-done multicultural festival. With the exception that among the participants dressed in national costumes, men in strict three-piece suits and women in stiletto heels and pencil skirts are constantly maneuvering.

The visit to the Street will be open to everyone from September 14 to 17. Admission is free, but you must first register on the fareaststreet.ru website in the “Visit the exhibition” section.
You can warm up after the business program by dancing with the young people.

This is roughly what the average “inhabitants” of the new Street look like: business people and not-so-active participants.
