Fendi, autumn-winter 2023 collection

Kim Jones is not the first season to look for reference points in the works of Karl Lagerfeld. This time, the designer was drawn to the graphic motifs of the Fendi fall-winter 1995 collection and knitwear from the 1981 collection. So, Jones’s sweaters are deconstructed, have cutouts and a halter neck. The proportions of a knitted dress with a simple silhouette are visually changed by graphics in contrasting colors. Vests become a cape, lace slips are sewn to office shirts, and pleated skirts are sewn to overalls. The draping on satin dresses creates an effect, as if the skirt were twisted at the waist. Of the unusual color combinations of the collection: blue combined with white, gray or brown. Jones spied the latest combination of Delfina Delettre, Fendi jewelry designer and daughter of Silvia Venturini Fendi.
