Fendi, as part of the fall-winter 2023 collection, presented a new transformable bag, Fendi Origami. With this model, Silvia Venturini-Fendi, creative director of accessories and men’s fashion at the fashion house, pays tribute to the versatility inherent to the brand. The shape of the bag transforms into two silhouettes: a bucket and a tote bag.
“In my opinion, what is really great is the mobility of the bag, which is two things in one,” reflects Silvia Venturini-Fendi. “This duality is very trendy, as is the idea of something that seems simple but is actually very complex,” she continues.
The name Origami comes from an ancient Japanese folding technique that turns sheets of paper into ornaments. Similarly, the complex 38-piece Fendi Origami design allows a cubic bucket bag to be transformed into a flat, trapezoidal shopping bag using eight magnets that align in the center to form a geometric shape like a flower.
We remember that Fendi previously presented a new collection of men’s and women’s glasses for the fall-winter season. The line was created using 3D printing technology.
