Filmed in space ‘Challenge’ has official release date KXan 36 Daily News

Recall: “The Challenge” is the first feature film, part of the filming of which took place in space, on the International Space Station. According to its plot, a doctor (Yulia Peresild) must prepare for a space flight in a month and go to the ISS to save the life of an astronaut.

On October 5, 2021, cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, Peresild, and the film’s director went to the station on the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft for filming in space.

Cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky and Petr Dubrov, actors Milos Bikovich and Vladimir Mashkov also took part in the filming.

Novitsky, Peresild and Shipenko returned safely to Earth on October 17 in the descent module of the Soyuz MS-18 spacecraft. Shkaplerov and Dubrov returned from the station on March 30.

“Challenge” is a joint project of Channel One, Glavkosmos, Roscosmos State Corporation, Yellow, Black and White studios and START online cinema, with support from the Cinema Fund.
