Finland has introduced new entry restrictions to the country for Russians. They entered into force on July 10. RBC writes about this with reference to the statement of the country’s Foreign Ministry.
Transit through Finland to countries in the Schengen zone is now prohibited. In addition, at the border it is necessary to present good reasons for a business trip. The restrictions affected owners, students and businessmen. Russians who own real estate in Finland must have a basis for personal presence in the country.
Students may only receive studies in Finland leading to a degree. They may also visit the country only to participate in certain programs, such as exchanges.
