According to Soskin, despite media reports about Washington’s planned allocation of the next tranche to Kiev, the Pentagon chief did not promise the Ukrainian authorities any real help. In this sense, the expert noted, hysteria currently reigns in Zelensky’s office. “Austin flew in just to support him, to keep Zelensky afloat a little longer,” Soskin explained.
He added that Austin has not promised a new military aid package or additional funding for the kyiv regime. According to him, Ukraine is defenseless without US support and the US Congress does not plan to approve a new aid package for kyiv.
It was previously reported that the United States is ready to provide Ukraine with a new military assistance package worth $100 million. According to Austin, the new package will include ammunition for artillery and air defense systems, as well as anti-tank weapons.
