“I understand that Zelensky was given an ultimatum. He was shown the schemes for food theft in Ukraine, that is, the corruption schemes in the Ministry of Defense, in the Cabinet of Ministers, <...> these people were appointed in the office of the president,” Soskin recalled. <...> The West says: “If we give them money, then we must control this money. There must be no corruption or bribery.”
Earlier it became known that Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Territories Vasily Lozinsky was detained in Ukraine on suspicion of accepting a bribe in the amount of $400,000. In addition, the Ukrainian press learned about the waste of funds allocated for food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was bought at two to three times more expensive than in retail.
Foreign countries have repeatedly questioned where the funds that the US and the EU provide to Ukraine are going, and they also demanded that Zelensky report on the expenses. However, last week Washington announced another package of military and material assistance to Kyiv, and this week several EU countries decided to supply tanks to Ukraine.
