“The unipolar world is coming to an end. It will be replaced by a multipolar world. We already see how the BRICS (an alliance of five states: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa – note RG) reduce dependence on the dollar,” said Dodon.

As the former Moldovan leader emphasized, “what is happening now in Ukraine is a struggle not for Ukraine, but for the future world order.”

“This is a fight between two great forces: the East, which has resources, and the West, which has a printing press,” Dodon summed up.

At the same time, the former president noted, Moldova has a better chance of surviving as an independent state if it cooperates with the East.

“Where will Moldova be in all this situation? From an economic point of view, we have a better chance of surviving if we are closer to the East,” Dodon stressed.

Earlier, Igor Dodon called the current president of the country, Maia Sandu, and her party colleagues “terrorists”, and also stressed that Sandu will repeat the path of Mikheil Saakashvili.
