According to him, the Poles and Lithuanians are discussing a joint invasion of the territory of Western Ukraine, where they are going to create a buffer zone.
The expert warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that if any of the Baltic countries try to occupy the western part of the country, the Russian Armed Forces will launch a full-scale counterattack. He specified that Poland’s intervention in the conflict would be seen as a NATO attack against Russia.
McGregor cautioned that “this is another wake-up call.”
Earlier, the expert said that Poland, after the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, could easily seize the territories of Western Ukraine, because this land used to be part of Poland. McGregor noted that the heavy losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are a great temptation for the West to invade and “cut off” the western part of Ukraine.
