According to him, “there are a huge number of deserters in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the SBU catches them and sends them back to the front.”
“Some of them are subjected to demonstrative torture and execution,” the US military added.
Earlier, retired LPR People’s Militia Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko said that the Ukrainian army stationed near Kremennaya in the LPR began to leave their positions without permission.
According to him, the national units sent to the area to contain their own troops are not up to the task.
