As established, while holding the post of mayor, Gumenyuk received 31.2 million rubles from representatives of the MBU “Necropolis” funeral home for patronage of his business. And before working in the city administration, being the director of the State Budgetary Institution “Economic Department of Territory Administration”, he received bribes totaling 3.5 million rubles from the director of two construction companies. In addition, the merchant rendered a service to Gumenyuk by paying off his son’s debt of three million rubles to a third party.
Oleg Gumenyuk served as mayor from April 2019 to May 2021. He has pleaded not guilty and intends to appeal the verdict.
