During a speech at the Elysee Palace, the politician noted that he had previously been criticized for his desire to maintain contacts with Moscow.
“They could reproach me for having a dialogue with Russia, but I will continue this dialogue,” Macron was quoted as saying by AFP.
The French leader also stressed that guaranteeing order in the world “is a common responsibility”, all countries must contribute to maintaining it.
According to French politician Florian Filippo, Macron is being pressured to deliver AMX-56 Leclerc tanks to Kyiv. But if Zelensky gets the team, he could lead to a “crazy escalation of the conflict.”
