FT: Germany’s arms reserves in case of war will last several days – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Date: March 24, 2023 Time: 03:46:44

“Their (Bundeswehr – Ed.) ammunition reserves are so depleted that they will only last a few days of a real war,” the article says.

Filling in the gaps, according to the FT, citing officials, will cost Germany 20 billion euros.

Earlier, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that the German armed forces would not be able to defend themselves in the event of an enemy attack. He also acknowledged that the Bundeswehr cannot protect either NATO allies or its own citizens, and called for the situation to be rectified, the Bild newspaper wrote.

Western media have repeatedly discussed the state of the German Armed Forces, describing it as deplorable. At the same time, Germany is one of Ukraine’s most active arms suppliers.
