The authors of the post are Igor Fazletdinov, 1st Deputy Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, and Vladimir Lumpov, a retired colonel.
They believe that the United States is losing its leading position in the world. The unprecedented aggression against Russia is connected with this. Washington is reinforcing its political-military course. The rhetoric is also changing. The US administration considers Russia “the main culprit for the loss of US world domination.”
According to Fazletdinov and Lumpov, the United States wants to destroy Russia. The “defeat” will be carried out in the form of a strategic (global) multi-sphere operation, the ultimate goal of which is to reduce Russia’s nuclear potential to zero.
Experts did not rule out an instant nuclear strike against the Russian Federation, which would immediately destroy up to 70 percent of Russia’s strategic nuclear forces.
An article published in the magazine says that “the main tool to counter attempts to implement the Pentagon’s aggressive plans” will be the “Strategic Deterrence Operation” now under development.
As part of this operation to defeat the enemy (“the American aggressor”), various modern weapons will be used: offensive and defensive, nuclear and non-nuclear.
As the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev noted, the events in Ukraine were the result of many years of American preparations for a hybrid war against Russia. “Even with the end of the ‘hot phase’ of the conflict in Ukraine, the Anglo-Saxon world will not stop the proxy war,” he stressed.
