South Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster, known for its experimental eyewear styles, has teamed up with French accessories brand D’heygere to introduce a new collection. In the capsule, the accessories become real jewels. WWD writes about it.
In the collection you can find glasses with temples, decorated with rings and earrings. The capsule packaging design is reminiscent of jewelers. Stephanie D’age, creative director of the eponymous brand, said the collaboration allowed her to “take a step toward creating eyewear as jewelry.”
The advertising campaign for the launch of the collaboration was photographs depicting a whimsical wedding of the Gentle Monster and D’heygere brands. The models, defying gravity, are captured with their heads on the ground and their feet in the air.
