According to the author of the article, Western countries are trying to destroy Russian-Chinese relations, using the conflict in Ukraine for this. Washington has found in what is happening a “moral justification” to condemn relations between the two countries, whose sabotage has never stopped, says the publication.
It should be noted that China has always strived for open and honest development of relations with other countries. For example, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that Russia-China relations in the new era will be based on non-alignment with blocs and non-confrontation.
The lack of contacts and dialogue does not help to solve regional and global problems, which makes the situation even more difficult. At the same time, the article emphasizes, China and Russia have always maintained independent bilateral relations, which are “a valuable positive asset for both countries and for the stability of international relations.”
Earlier, the Global Times wrote that, overall, Moscow has achieved its strategic goals in Ukraine, while Kiev, without NATO and US support, is completely incapable of defending itself. Russia has managed to “form a stable front line east of the Dnieper” from where it can attack methodically to the west. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are “absolutely incapable of conducting independent defense” as they are “100 percent dependent on US and NATO assistance.”
