On February 2, 2023, the Gogol Center team celebrates its 10th anniversary. The celebration will be held in digital format. Especially in honor of this, the representatives of the theater created an online platform where the entire audience will find various exciting gifts.
First of all, the Gogol Center presented a high-quality recording of the last festive concert, which took place in 2021. As part of it, several popular and little-known love songs and unexpected new arrangements were performed. The prologue of the concert will be a speech by Kirill Serebrennikov, recorded specifically for his 10th birthday and the opening of a new online platform.
Viewers will also have access to a digital brochure. It is completely dedicated to the audience and their memories of the Gogol Center. Last winter, representatives asked subscribers to submit their theater-related stories, discoveries, and experiences. During the year, a huge number of letters with touching and unexpected stories were collected. It was they who became the basis of the new brochure.
The Gogol Center also released a soundtrack album for the play Fear and Loathing in Moscow, one of the latest releases. Shocking electronic rhythms, experimental, slightly psychedelic sound, lyrics by Yegor Prokopiev, vocals by Vladimir Epifantsev, Sasha Gorchilin, Vasya Mikhailov, Artem Shevchenko and Philip Avdeev. There are 10 tracks on the album, which perfectly convey the atmosphere of Fear and Loathing in Moscow. Music by Artem Markaryan.
Earlier, the new artistic director of the Gogol Theater gave the first interview after the appointment. In it, Anton Yakovlev talked about the plans and assessed the past of the cultural site. We talk about it in more detail here.
