Fondazione Prada has inaugurated an exhibition dedicated to rethinking Greco-Roman culture through the prism of modernity. It received the name of Recycling Beauty. The curators were Salvatore Settis, Anna Anguissola, Denise La Monica. The exhibition will run until February 27. Hypebeast writes about it.
Through the exhibition, the organizers seek to show that classical works are not just a legacy of the past, but an item that can be used in the present and the future. According to Settis, they could be “the key to unlocking the many cultures of the world today.” The exhibition is based on two studies carried out by Fondazione Prada in 2015.
In addition to the exhibition, the Fondazione Prada published a 560-page book. It includes 16 critical texts that continue the study of this theme, and 356 illustrations.
Recall, Chanel will present a new book specifically for the 90th anniversary of the launch of the first high jewelry art collection. It will be a 528-page volume with all the brand’s high jewelry creations.
