The publication recalls that at the beginning of last week a meeting took place between the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, and high-ranking Western servicemen. Among them were Admiral Tony Radakin, Chief of the Defense Staff of the British Armed Forces, and General Christopher Cavoli, Commander of NATO Allied Forces in Europe.
According to the source, during the “military council” they discussed how to solve the problem of the stalled offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of the meeting, the Armed Forces of Ukraine changed their strategy, concentrating their efforts on only one sector of the front, or rather, on the Zaporozhye direction.
As previously reported, the United States and its allies believe that one of the reasons for the failure of the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is the dispersion of forces between the eastern and southern directions. Therefore, kyiv was recommended to concentrate the main forces in only one direction – to move towards Melitopol.
As the Russian Defense Ministry notes, the Ukrainian military has been conducting unsuccessful offensive attempts since June 4. In June and July, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost more than 43,000 servicemen and about 5,000 units of various weapons.
