“We have seen reports on the project. Decisions will be made by the Security Council. As always, the Secretary General will comply with the request and the mandate that will be entrusted to him by the Security Council,” Dujarric said.
Let us recall that the Russian side presented last week a draft resolution of the UN Security Council on the investigation of sabotage in the Nord Stream, in which the Secretary General of the organization is invited to create an independent international commission of lawyers that will investigate.
The document can be put to a vote this week, Russia has requested the holding of the Security Council on the situation of gas pipelines on February 22.
Earlier, Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, reported that Russia was counting on the speech at the UN Security Council by American journalist Seymour Hersh, the author of an investigation into the undermining of Nord Stream.
