On March 21, at the age of 69, successful writer and screenwriter Harri Nyukyanen, best known for the series Ariel Kafta, about a Finnish Jewish detective, passed away. The initial novel in the cycle was published ten years ago in Russian, after which the matter was left standing.
The author’s works since the 90s have been repeatedly filmed. In particular, a film and a TV series based on his “Raid” were released.
Note that Harry knew about police work firsthand, having worked as a police reporter for Helsingin Sanomat. As the cause of the writer’s death, the country’s media described it as “a rapidly progressing disease.”
