HBO Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys gave an interview to Variety. In a conversation with journalists, he hinted that the second season of Dragon House will not premiere until summer 2024. He did not indicate the exact date of the premiere, however, he called the journalists’ assumption about the premiere time not bad.
In addition, Bloys noted that the series will not be able to become a nominee for the 2024 Emmy Award. For this, the continuation of the spin-off “Game of Thrones” must be released before May 31 – on this day the acceptance of applications for the award ends. .
Bloys also shared information about other successful HBO projects: “Meir of Easttown” and “Watchmen.” He noted that both projects will remain miniseries. There are no second seasons planned.
However, Meir of Easttown star Kate Winslet will be seen in another show, The Palace. Hugh Grant will also participate in it. In addition, HBO plans to release a television adaptation of the drama Parasite.
Let’s remember that the first episode of “The House of the Dragon” gathered 9.9 million viewers on the HBO and HBO Max platforms. This is the best performance for a new series premiere in the company’s history. We talk about it in more detail here.
