Hermès has joined Chanel, Gucci and Balenciaga in launching a case for AirPods. It costs 930 dollars (that’s about 74 thousand rubles). Hypebeast writes about it.
The cover is made from Swift calfskin, one of the house’s oldest signature materials, with a fine grain that makes it smooth. Swift also absorbs dye (unlike many other types of leather), so the product will retain its color even after many years of use.
Finished with contrasting white stitching, the accessory is available in four colours: Gold, Bleu Navy, Vert Criquet/Vert Bambou and Bleu Lin/Étain. Fits any generation of Apple AirPods Pro headphones. The case can be worn around the neck.
Previously, Hermès opened its 22nd French leather goods workshop in the Ardennes region, on the Belgian border. The 5,700 square meter facility will employ around 250 artisans trained at the brand’s leather school.
