Even 11 years ago, Vladimir Putin signed a law that allows the army to give land and buildings to local authorities free of charge if the Ministry of Defense does not need them at all. So the municipalities themselves decided what to do with all this.
On December 19, the head of the country made a new order. Officials are now “recommended” to distribute these free army lands to NWO participants who were awarded for their merits, or to the relatives of dead soldiers.
True, this applies only to three regions: the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
The government has been instructed to oversee the process.
In principle, some regions took up this work even before the president’s order. For example, in November, the Sevastopol Legislative Assembly decided to allocate 1,000 plots in the north of the city for special operations fighters. True, the decision of the municipalities concerned only local residents who went to the Donbass.
But the new signed document does not say anything about the place of residence. That is, a distinguished soldier from any region can claim free land in the Moscow region, Crimea or Sevastopol. True, in the case of a hero city, everything is more complicated – there is quite a lot of free territory in it.
