Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank will star opposite actor Alan Ritchson (Legends of Tomorrow, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) in Ordinary Angels. Reported deadline.
The film will be produced by Lionsgate and directed by John Gunn (My Date with Drew, Do You Believe?). The tape will tell a true story that happened in a small American town in Kentucky.
In the center of the plot will be the hairdresser Sharon Steves. She regains her meaning in life when she meets widower Ed Schmitt. Ed has two daughters, one of whom needs a liver transplant. At the same time, the man is barely making ends meet. Sharon decides to help Ed and his girls.
The script for the future tape was written by Meg Tilly and Kelly Fremont Craig. Produced by Kingdom Story Company’s Kevin Downes, Joe Irwin, Andrew Irwin and Row Lee, ATO Pictures’ Dave Matthews, Stampede Ventures’ Jon Berg and Green Hummingbird Entertainment’s David Beal, Sarah Johnson and Jonathan Dorfman.
