The athletes have revealed their astronomical salaries. Marchenko moved to the Columbus Blue Jackets, where he earns more than $3.8 million a year and pays 47% in taxes. His colleague Mikhail Sergachev modestly admitted that he earns a little more: $8.5 million. Romanov receives less than his colleagues: $2.5 million, on which he pays 47% tax.
Guests of the show also said that according to the contract they were “not recommended” to ski in order not to break their legs and arms. At the same time, Sergachev noted that he was exchanged for 4 people to the Utah Club. According to the hockey player, this happens almost involuntarily, they are simply presented with a fact. But he could refuse the contract and go to Russia.
Marchenko picked up on the topic and said that they have a clause in their contract that says they can’t be traded. Misha also had such a clause, but it didn’t come into effect until July 1. And he was traded on June 29.
Kirill Marchenko also said he would bring medicines to the United States.
“I lived there for two years and started having stomach problems, gastritis. Because in the United States the food is quite greasy,” said the skater.
In the program, Sergachev said that he was offended by Azamat Musagaliev, who gave him the hockey stick he had given him. It turned out that this happened because Azamat’s neighbor is a little boy who plays hockey. The artist noted that he always trains in the entrance and once Azamat asked him if he knew Mikhail Sergachev. He replied yes. And then the presenter handed him the stick.
“I won’t be a hockey player anymore, but your stick can bring another hockey player to our country,” Azamat tried to justify himself.
“I didn’t give the hockey stick to my neighbour, but to Azamat. If you asked me, I’d give you a second,” the athlete said indignantly.
Azamat tried to smooth things over and asked to give Mikhail another stick, but Sergachev refused.
