Now they decided to turn our classics into a modern animated horror western shell. The project “Anthology of Russian Horror: Red Cast” (More.tv and “NMG”) will include six episodes – these are short films based on the most terrible works of Alexander Grin (“The Pied Piper’s Daughter”), Alexei Tolstoy (“Ghoul’s Family”), Alexander Pushkin (The Undertaker) and other authors. Including Dmitry Bykov* (“Mozharovo”), a writer who left the country and was recognized as a foreign agent. The stories will be directed by different directors, but the general style will remain the same.

— The theme of horror is close to many, and it was interesting for the directors to try this particular genre, — explained the producer of the project Yuri Stepanov. — All the stories in the anthology are a good reason to pay attention to Russian literature. The main inspiration was the “Merry Carousel” program. Representatives from six countries worked on the project, and it was interesting for us to do series in different techniques to see how each of them would tell these stories.
