Tours of the Lenkomites with the work “Memorial Prayer” were planned for October. On the stage of the oldest repertory theater in Israel – Habima. But now there will be no tours, this was confirmed to us by the head of the international department of Habima. As she herself explained: “Lenkom” invited a private producer who rented a stage from Habima: “This is a completely private initiative”. It has nothing to do with Habima. As if the theater does not know at all who rents the stage from it and for what purposes.
But what about the sold-out viewers? Yes, the tickets are sold out – confirmed the employee of Habima. Most. But then the protests started…
In fact, protests have begun: the artist Anatoly Bely, who left Russia for Israel a year ago, vowed to stop the tour. He posted several posts on social media asking her to sign a protest letter against her colleagues’ Moscow tour. He called for a boycott: “The Lenkom Theater – read Z-com – wants to go on tour and perform the Memorial Prayer (read speculations on the Jewish issue) on the stage of the Habima Theater. Blasphemy … And most importantly – how to make this shame does not occur? I really look forward to constructive responses and appropriate actions…”
Anatoly Bely, Honored Artist of Russia, got away with it – the tour was cancelled. After that, the film director Rauf Kubaev wrote in his post: “Once Anatoly Bely starred in my main role (“ Number forty-three ”) and we had a warm relationship. And now I thank you for the answer to Dovlatov’s question (from the book “The Zone”: “We endlessly curse Comrade Stalin and, of course, the cause. And yet I want to ask: who wrote four million denunciations ? .”) for me personally. Judging by this complaint (ie Bely’s post) and numerous comments in support of him, it is now clear who exactly wrote those same millions of complaints. Thanks, Tolik, for the insight. Even in Bely’s microblog, in the comments to his post, they write: “You scoundrel! He considered himself the greatest genius. In Israel, at first, Russian-speaking people attended his performances. Now I’ve seen the competition. “Speculation on the Jewish issue… They have been speculating in Lenkom for more than thirty years. This wonderful performance of Zakharovsky was shown all over the world … And about “speculate” only this genius bothered to say. According to his logic, if performances based on Chekhov or Gogol are performed anywhere in the world, is it speculation on the Russian theme? “Removed, finally, from friends. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. I got it with my slogans. It is amazing – to play, if not the main roles, then charismatic Russian men, living in a country with beautiful nature, and then going to the concrete and the desert, to the hinterland, in general, beyond the Settlement Zone, to collect. He rejected the Nazis on the page from him and howled: “I am happy and I hate you for my happiness! And he himself has no homeland, no memory …”
In fact, there is no homeland, no memory, no knowledge of the boomerang law. Anatoly Bely has a tour on his nose: Belgrade, Cyprus, Paris. His next performance in Serbia will be on September 12. On this occasion, the artist already wrote: “Dear friends, we are leaving for Belgrade. I’ve already received threats, they don’t expect you here, we’ll make a fool out of you. But we go…”
I would like to ask: why? Tickets were bought not just a little, but almost nothing. By the way, for some reason, the price of tickets for Bely’s performance is indicated not only in euros, but also in rubles – up to 13,200 rubles per seat. Too expensive for such an artist.
In April last year, Israel canceled the Theater tour. Vakhtangov – due to the “geopolitical situation”. Then all the tickets for the play “War and Peace” were sold, but this did not stop the organizers of the tour – the performances of the Moscow theater were canceled one day.
Perhaps there is no need to plan a tour of Israel, since the host is so dodgy?
Interestingly, the answer to this question was given by one of Anatoly Bely’s friends: “Our country is pluralistic and must remain so. All those who instill in Israel the ethic of boycotts and bans are enemies of both freedom and culture and of Israel. Whoever doesn’t want to go to the function, don’t go, it’s their business. And someone wants to go and go, best of luck. The pluralism, freedom and liberal democracy we fight for: that’s exactly what it sounds like.
