In the Khasansky district, commonly called the pearl of Primorye for its amazing nature and warm transparent sea, entrepreneurs are building three modular hotels and improving two beaches. According to the head of the regional tourism agency Arseniy Krepsky, this is being done with subsidies received from the state.
– Each company has its own concept, which takes into account both the target audience and the terrain. The projects are in various stages of preparation, but all must be completed by June 15, 2023, he said.
In addition, road repair is on the agenda. Last year it started in the middle of the season, and for many the rest was spoiled. Buses with tourists and cars of independent travelers heading to the sea stood in traffic jams for many hours. This year, the renovations started ahead of schedule.
– Taking into account the negative experience of working with contractors last year, we planned a technological pause in carrying out repairs during the high tourist season. There is a corresponding instruction from the governor of the region. All the work of the first stage must be finished by June 15 and continue in September. This will allow unhindered travel to places of rest, – said Krepsky.
Prefabricated hotels are also being built in the Lazovsky and Olginsky districts. In two districts of the region, the creation of about 90 rooms is planned, which should have air conditioning, kitchenettes and other amenities. They promise to also landscape the adjacent territory. Entrepreneurs are supported by additional grants and subsidies. By the way, in Petrov Bay, famous for its natural beauties, which is located on the territory of the Lazovsky Reserve, tourists will be able to appreciate the new modular objects already in mid-June.

At the end of April, another base station “Venzor” was installed in the village of Zaozerny. It covers the area of the Kozelsky and Avachinsky volcanoes. On April 30, it was tested by tracking a group of climbers at the foot of Kozelsky. Thus, another tourist route will be provided with emergency communications.

According to him, the total number of tourists staying in hotels in the Far Eastern Federal District regions in 2022 increased by almost 600,000 people, or 24 percent, compared to the previous year. The most significant growth is in Kamchatka, Buryatia and Kolyma. The number of rooms has also increased in the last two years: about ten percent a year.
The main task, according to Vakhrukov, remains the construction of new accommodation facilities.
This year, within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hotel Industry”, a support program for the construction of modular hotels will continue. The funds have already been reserved and allocated by the Ministry of Economic Development. By late spring, after a competitive selection, the department will bring the funds to the regions. Projects will be selected for 2023-2024. It is planned to compensate up to one and a half million rubles from the federal budget for the creation of a room in a modular hotel.
The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia also intends to make the third selection under the concessional loan program for the construction of 120-room hotels in August 2023.
