The section of the road that is currently being restored passes through the territory of the Zaporozhye region. The Ministry of Defense recalled that the Ukrainian authorities have not carried out the installation and restoration of the road in this area for more than 30 years.
It is explained that a four-lane highway with a capacity of 30,000 vehicles per day will ease the burden on the Crimean bridge.
“Russian specialists are currently restoring roads in the Zaporozhye region in the Melitopol area, Berdyansk and on the highway in the direction of the Kherson region,” the military department noted.
The construction of the main part of this route will begin in January 2023.
