I am what I eat. Gastro messenger from the friends of BURO.

As part of the special project LETO.BURO. our food critic Yulia Susova talked with friends of the publication about food in the broad sense of the word: favorite places, specific products, gastronomic preferences and Wishlist.

Semicold. This is a real restaurant – you want to dress up there. Here I am greeted by name, here is the best Italian cuisine in the city and the most delicious Bellini in the world (even tastier than Portofino or Cipriani in Venice).

“Cranes” in Stoleshnikov. He always said: if I were a bar, I’d be like the Cranes. Chamber, cozy, chandeliers sparkle and shine, sometimes a harp and snacks with red caviar. I personally know Petya Baryshnikov, the chef bartender and co-owner, and I know how much love he puts into projects. This is felt in the cocktails, in the food and in the interior.

FAVORITE DISH TO DELIVERY:

Changes according to the season. It’s summer now, so berries. If I’m hungry, always miso soup and a sea bass/truffle roll from Buba by Sumosan.

FAVORITE FOOD AND DRINK:

Every restaurant has its own hits, but absolutely everywhere and with everything, I order a huge plate of green salad.

The drink is water with lemon and very rarely Coca-Cola with ice and lemon, as well as Russian lemonade without sugar.

And I have a new habit of drinking non-alcoholic beer on Friday nights after my track club practice (I have a favorite!).

COUNTRY – GASTRONOMIC POINT:

Basque Country, of course. Surprisingly: indifferent to fish, but I always eat it. The Basques will perfectly cook any fish, oysters, the most delicious tuna, right there. I prefer fish and shellfish from cold waters, and there is only the Atlantic. If you want meat, they have no equal either. Restaurants for all tastes, even the bread is tastier than anywhere else. And sausages, and cheeses!

MOVIE AND FOOD BOOK:

Book – “Food – Italian Happiness” by Elena Kostyukovich.

It makes sense to read it well in Italy to try everything at once if possible, otherwise it becomes sad that there is no access to all these delights. But with the cinema it is more difficult. The last thing I saw was Menu. Impressed by the bun and the cheeseburger.

WHERE TO HAVE BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER IN MOSCOW:

I like to have breakfast at Coffeemania, lunch at Remy Kitchen Bakery. I go to the Regent for dinner.

PERSONAL DIET RULES:

Choose foods that nourish me, heal me and give me energy.

Cook at home more often. This allows you to be as confident as possible in the composition of the products and their quality.

A bunch of lettuce every day.

Berries instead of sweets.

Balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

If bread, then in the morning and buckwheat.

I also read somewhere that there should be about eight different colors on a plate; I try to abide by this rule.

CHAMPAGNE OR COCKTAILS:

Champagne. But now water, because I liked to always be sober. I look, of course, towards the ice bubbles in beautiful glasses, but that’s where it all ends. But I’ve never been a fan of cocktails: there are too many flavors in one glass for me.

MATCHA OR COFFEE:

I love coffee, but not everyone. I prefer Rockets. Recently, a geyser appeared at home, so I began to buy coffee at home – it is convenient that the guys on the site can immediately choose the grind. If it’s matcha, only cold or in desserts.

I HAVE NEVER TRIED IT, BUT I PLAN TO:

Ice cream with an unusual taste. Gorgonzola, for example.
