Russian President Vladimir Putin addresses the Federal Assembly with a message. During his speech, the head of state expressed his gratitude to the participants of the special operation, residents of new regions of Russia:

– I think we are all proud that our multinational people, the vast majority of citizens, have taken a principled position regarding the special military operation, have understood the meaning of the actions we are carrying out, have supported our actions to protect Donbass. This support, above all, manifested true patriotism, a feeling historically inherent to our people, amazes with its dignity, deep awareness by all (I emphasize, by all) of their own destiny, inseparable from the destiny of the Homeland.

Dear friends, I want to thank everyone, all the people of Russia for their courage and determination, to thank our heroes, soldiers and officers of the army and navy, the National Guard, members of the special services and all the law enforcement. agencies, soldiers of the Donetsk and Lugansk corps, volunteers, patriots fighting in the ranks of the BARS combat army reserve. I want to apologize, I’m sorry that during today’s speech I can’t name everyone. You know, when I was preparing this speech, I wrote a long, long list of these hero units. So I took it out of today’s speech, because, as I said, it’s impossible to name everyone. I was only afraid to offend those whom I will not name. A deep bow to the parents, wives, relatives of our defenders, doctors and paramedics Sanitary instructors, nurses who save the wounded. To the railway workers and conductors who supply the front, to the masons who build fortifications, restore homes, roads, civil facilities. Defense plant workers and engineers, who now work nearly 24 hours a day, in multiple shifts. Rural workers who reliably guarantee the country’s food security. I am grateful to the teachers who sincerely care about the young generation of Russia, especially those teachers who work in the most difficult conditions, indeed, on the front lines. Cultural characters who come to the war zone, to the hospitals to support the soldiers and officers. Volunteers helping the front and civilians. Journalists, first of all, of course, war correspondents who risk themselves on the front lines to tell the truth to the whole world. Pastors of traditional Russian religions, military priests, whose wise word supports and inspires people. Officials and businessmen, all those who carry out their professional, civic and simply human duty.

Special words to residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Dear friends, you yourselves determined your future in referendums, you made a firm decision, despite the threats and terror of neo-Nazis, in conditions where military operations were taking place very close. But there was and is nothing stronger than his determination to be with Russia, with his homeland (APPLAUSE).

We have already started and we will continue (applause)… I would like to emphasize that this reaction from the audience is addressed to the residents of Donetsk, the Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson People’s Republics. Once again, a deep bow to all of them (applause).
