Two years ago, the ex-wife of footballer Andrei Arshavin, Alisa, disappeared from social networks and stopped appearing in public. The mother of three went into seclusion after losing her nose. Then Alice said that her face was disfigured by a serious autoimmune disease. The woman then presented an even more implausible version: that her own mother had infected her with syphilis through injections.
A few days ago Alisa Arshavina reappeared before the public. The athlete’s ex-wife underwent new operations, thanks to which the surgeons managed to restore her nose. Now Alice, 41, evaluates her actions more seriously and admits that she did many things wrong in the past. In a new podcast on YouTube, Arshavin admitted why she lost her nose.
Alice says she developed severe inflammation due to the stress of her divorce. But she did not pay attention to these processes. Furthermore, she even called a private cosmetologist, which aggravated the inflammation and eventually led to the complete destruction of the nasal cartilage.
“The destruction of the nose was rapid. One day I woke up with complete destruction… Before that, there was only a deformation of the nose: somewhere the back sank, somewhere it narrowed, it was crooked. I was in such a bad moral state after the divorce that I didn’t even realize it. But those around me didn’t tell me. Then the inflammatory process began, the temperature rose, which lasted two months. There was discomfort in the nasal area. This didn’t stop me. I called a cosmetologist at home and we also gave her injections for the inflammatory process,” Arshavina said on the podcast “By Beauty” by plastic surgeon Denis Agapov.
Now Alice remembers with horror what she said and did during that period. She admits that she was very vulnerable and unstable then, so she couldn’t control herself. First of all, Arshavina regrets that she went on a TV show and started giving interviews in which she told fantastic stories.
“Without a nose, being sick for two years, no one needs you. Then the media attacks you. Here I was wrong: there was no need to hang around, talk about myself, show myself. I had to deal with my inner state, recover. I did not turn to psychologists or psychotherapists. I was thrown from one extreme to the other. I gave unnecessary interviews, I said stupid things,” admits the athlete’s ex-wife.

The operation to save Alice’s nose was performed by surgeon Denis Agapov. He previously told how she managed to restore the lost tissue. According to the doctor, the patient’s new nose was formed by transplanting skin from other parts of her face.
“There was a fairly complex reconstruction of the outside of the nose in several stages. The most difficult thing was that it was necessary to remove skin from somewhere to form the final sections of the nose. And the only thing we managed to do was take a little skin from the nasolabial folds on one side and the other and form the wings of the nose with it. Luckily for us, our companions from the first stage had already removed a flap from our forehead area. And we managed to turn this flap, which was located on such a small piece at the back of the nose, into some sections of the nose. “Now we have a skin covering for the tip, the bridge of the nose and cartilaginous supports for the rib,” the surgeon said.

The doctor clarified that Alice will have several more operations in the future. The surgeon will thin her nose and smooth out the rough edges of it so that her face looks more aesthetically pleasing.
Recall that Alisa Arshavina has three children: Alexey, 19, and Alisa, 11, from her first marriage, as well as her daughter Yesenia, 7, from her marriage to footballer Andrei Arshavin. The former journalist divorced the athlete in 2019. Since then, according to her, Arshavin has been practically not interested in the fate of her daughter.
