Ksenia Surkova

The viewer remembers the brilliant Ksenia Surkova very well for her organic work in Vera Glagoleva’s drama “One War”, the film “My Dad Baryshnikov” and, of course, the series “Closed School” and “Olga”, where the artist reliably embodied the image of the stubborn and daring Anya Terentyeva. However, after the end of the TNT family tragicomedy, the artist’s career stopped. And so she appeared in the cult reality show “The Last Hero” (TV-3), whose participants are trying to survive in the Altai Territory. KP.RU spoke with the young artist to find out where she was for so long and when to expect new works.

“No, I didn’t go on maternity leave (laughs),” KP.RU Surkova interrupts her speculations. — There was a certain pause, a rethinking, a reevaluation of some life priorities, gaining new “mass,” acting “fat,” life. Simply “The Last Hero” is something that really changes you a lot. It is like a pause to recover that strength, that power and share what has been accumulated again. I hope to eventually create my own project; I am incredibly interested in him.

In the near future, the artist hopes to present new roles to the public, even despite the extreme filming in “The Last Hero.”
“I think this summer and this year they will please you with really good filming and next year you will definitely see me in the movies,” he noted.
Ksenia went to Altai without really thinking about how scary and dangerous it could be for her health.
— Why did you agree to act? I ask myself the same question (laughs), he says ironically. — I always wanted to go to Altai, but I put it off because something didn’t work out. Besides, they didn’t ask me “Will you go to The Last Hero?”, but “Will you go to Altai?”. “Well, since I’m going to Altai, that means I’m going,” I replied.
In addition to acting and guest starring, Ksenia also focused on directing and is already taking her first steps in this direction.
“Now I want to make a short film, I’m working on it, I hope everything turns out well,” he says. “I think it’s better to do it first and talk about it later; I’m a supporter of this approach.” It requires a lot of work and concentration since it is not an acting profession, which I have been in for 30 years.
