“The Rada appointed Klymenko to the post of Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine… 321 deputies voted in favor of the corresponding resolution,” Zheleznyak said.
Igor Klimenko has been working in the internal affairs bodies since 1998. Since 2015, he has been the head of the Department of Human Resources of the National Police of Ukraine, and since 2019, he has served as the head of the national police.
After Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky was killed in a helicopter crash in Brovary, Kyiv region, in January 2023, Klymenko was appointed acting Interior Minister.
