A criminal case has just been opened and started to be investigated for fraud and organisation of illegal migration. But Alexander Bastrykin’s department does not name any of the detainees.
The Investigative Committee explained that, according to its data from last autumn, these persons “created the conditions for organizing illegal migration on the territory of the city of Moscow.” More precisely, the persons involved in the investigation accommodated foreign citizens who arrived illegally in our country in apartments whose owners had died. In total there were 150 such apartments.
Investigators in the capital, together with officers of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow, managed to find and handcuff the organizer and one of the participants of this criminal group. We conducted searches at the homes of these citizens. The department said that during the searches they found documents that “indicate the involvement of the detainees in crimes.” In the very near future, the Investigative Committee assures, these people will be prosecuted. Now the investigation is looking for the remaining members of the criminal group.
