As reported by the State Committee for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, the boy was on the shore in a UAZ vehicle with two adults and two children. A trailer with a boat was attached to the car and at some point it was dragged into the river. The UAZ was completely submerged in water within minutes.
Witnesses helped four people to land, but they did not find the 7-year-old boy. Rescuers soon pulled the car to the ground, but the boy was not inside either.
