In March 2022, Belgorod residents Zelenin and Turyansky, who share the ideas of Ukrainian nationalism, decided to damage the railway near the village of Tomarovka. His actions were supposed to lead to the derailment of the military echelon, casualties among military personnel, damage to military and railway equipment, the FSB department for the Belgorod region noted.

The court found both defendants guilty of preparing to sabotage and sentenced each to 3.5 years in a strict regime colony. The verdict has not entered into force.
