Now, the law allows a passenger to carry no more than ten kilograms of unmarked red caviar and without accompanying documents.
– Since the beginning of the experiment at the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky International Airport (Yelizovo), the Primorsky Interregional Department of the Rosselkhoznadzor has checked 121,373 kilograms of non-industrial caviar, which air passengers carried in luggage and hand luggage. In total, ten cases of violations during the transportation of caviar with a total weight of 299.8 kilograms were identified, Zdanovich added.
Now the experience of Kamchatka’s neighbors will be adopted by Chukotka.
– The intraregional consumption of non-industrial caviar is negligible. But the caviar that is exported by individuals outside the region raises questions. According to our data, it is about ten tons per year, Alena Pinyaeva, chairwoman of the Okrug Committee on Fisheries, explained earlier.
