On July 15, Individuum publishing house will hold a six-hour book festival “Once Upon a Time in the Individual: Children, Frogs and Slaves” at the DK Rassvet space, timed to coincide with the publishing house’s anniversary. The program includes meetings with the authors of the publishing house Dmitry Khaustov, Kristina Sandalova, Katya Kolpinets and Milana Logunova, a series of thematic workshops, a huge book sale and a concert by Mare and Goblin Toads.
“Individuum is five years old! Or seven: how to look. But we decided to consider this anniversary year. Acceptable liberties for the non-fiction adventure genre, which occupies the main place in our portfolio and determines the very name of the publisher. The idea of the genre, and the basic principle of our work, was formulated by the founder of the publishing house Alexei Dokuchaev (Recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent. – Note BURO.) back in 2015: “an individual, author’s statement related to one’s own perception of the world”, shared the editorial.
Previously, GES-2 announced the Metamorphosis film program. All the films of the summer cycle come together under the banner of change. The curators made a selection of paintings about individual, social and cultural transformations. The main themes of the selected films are mentioned in the title of the program – “Metamorphosis: Transformations, Resurrections and Magical Cinema”.
