– This is a holiday party, – the artistic director of the Kuban Cossack Choir, Hero of Labor of Russia, Viktor Gavrilovich Zakharchenko, greeted the audience. – After all, this holiday includes all our great history without limits. And every time they went to our Motherland, from Asia, from the East, from the West, whoever came to us with a sword, died from the sword! Enemies have always fought and do fight against patriotism and spirituality, and now we feel it deeply. But, in spite of everything, for sure, the victory will be only for us!
The program “We are Russians!” The public looked in one breath. The songs performed on stage represent the rich history of Russia, which has gone through hundreds of tragedies and triumphs, hardening its people and making them stronger. A special place in the concert was given to contemporary events. The presenter recalled that on February 2 the country celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad. This date was dedicated to the folk ballad of the Great Patriotic War “There is a cliff on the Volga.”
The concert also included Cossack songs, war compositions, lyrical works, prayer songs. A special fighting spirit was felt in musical works such as “How long will you hide behind the fog”, “Russian Star”, “Rus”, “No one but us will save Russia”, “All Russia has become the Kulikov field”. The lyrics of this song were displayed on a large LED screen. During his performance, the audience rose from their seats, tears shone in the eyes of many.
The concert program ended with a prayer song: the Kuban Cossack Choir collective wished the military personnel present in the hall, all those who performed and continue to regularly carry out their military duty to defend the Motherland: “Many and good years!”
