According to investigators, the incident occurred in the city of Anzhero-Sudzhensk on June 9. The boy invited his brother and two friends to swim in the well near a private house. The boy went further into the water and began to sink. The children ran to their parents and called for help. The father of one of the boys found the victim’s body already under water.
The case is being investigated under article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on causing death by negligence.
