“The wooden formwork of the bridge was burning at a height of 106 meters. It took a little over half an hour to put out the fire. In 36 minutes the fire was located. One minute later the open burning was eliminated. , the burning area was 15 square meters,” reports the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Novosibirsk Region.
21 people and six pieces of equipment, including a car crank lift, responded to the incident. A crane was allowed to be raised to the height of the fire. The fire was extinguished with powder extinguishers.
The builders helped put out the fire. According to the press service of the VIS Group of Companies, which is the concessionaire of the bridge under construction, the fire was caused by a diesel hot air gun.
