In August 2022, a repeat offender who had just been released from prison came to the village of Novoomsky. There he met an unknown nine-year-old girl and took her to a deserted place. Threatening to kill, he raped a schoolgirl and caused her bodily harm.
“After that, the attacker fled, but was subsequently detained by law enforcement officers and taken into custody,” Tatyana Bulikhova, senior assistant prosecutor of the Omsk region, told RG.
He pleaded fully guilty to the crime.
The Omsk Regional Court sentenced the pedophile to 20 years in prison in a special regime correctional colony with a restriction of freedom for 1 year and 7 months. He will be obliged to pay the victim 1 million rubles. Mandatory medical measures will also be applied to the repeat offender in the form of observation and treatment by a psychiatrist on an outpatient basis.
