According to the department, during the inspection, prosecutors intend to find out how the organizer of the ski complied with the requirements of the legislation on the safety of transporting people.
Previously, pre-investigation control was initiated by the Investigative Committee of St. Petersburg.
Remember, the incident occurred on January 2. According to preliminary data, a drunken man tried to saddle a horse, the animal got scared and rushed into the crowd of passers-by. A woman and her two school-age children suffered from hooves. All of them are hospitalized.
The situation is ambiguous. Palace Square is always crowded, and especially on New Year’s holidays. Carriage rides are a popular attraction in St. Petersburg, although it is not entirely clear whether the organizers of such events work in the legal field. Previously, they periodically had questions from utility employees because animals leave tracks on the city’s historic streets.
The incident with the horse, which at some point was uncontrollable, highlighted another problem: the safety of passers-by, since the carriages are parked in the pedestrian zone.
