In Stavropol, cadets weave camouflage nets and perform in hospitals

Cadets make nets and sails themselves during extracurricular activities and in their free time.

Cadets of the Stavropol Presidential Cadet School (SPKU) periodically send camouflage nets, trench sails and other humanitarian aid to military personnel participating in a special military operation (SVO).

“The cadets make nets and sails themselves during extracurricular activities and in their free time. According to teachers, the boys show active participation and initiative in volunteer activities, trying to support the fighters with all their might,” commented the staff of the Russian Defense Ministry.

The military department notes that SPKU students began collecting humanitarian aid in 2023. According to the head of the Department of Educational Work, Colonel Boris Savchenko, this concerns not only the cadets and employees of the institution, but also the parents of the students.

Savchenko tells how it all started: “Before the New Year they announced an action to raise aid for the soldiers of the Northern Military District. Participants were both school staff and parents of cadets. We collected the humanitarian cargo and sent it to the Stavropol paratroopers in two buses. There are many things there: food, medicine. The boys write letters to the combatants to give them moral support.”

It is worth noting that the school’s employees also send products specifically to their graduates participating in the SVO.

SPKU cadets also organized concerts for servicemen in hospitals, where they performed as part of creative groups with songs and dances.
