The accident happened on Monday afternoon. According to traffic inspectors, a third-grader from a local school crossed the road at a crosswalk. The boy was run over by a 40-year-old driver of a compound cargo vehicle, the regional traffic police department said.
The victim died at the scene before paramedics arrived. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The prosecutor’s office took control of the procedural control organized by the employees of the Ministry of the Interior, added the control authority.
