The materials of the inspection carried out after the complaint were sent to the investigative body, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation for the Far Eastern Federal District reports. Based on the results of his examination, a criminal case was opened for abuse of official powers, which led to serious consequences.
The results of the audit showed that from January 2022 to September 2023, the former official ensured the transfer of 15 apartments under a social lease regime to citizens who did not have the right to receive them. These actions affected 39 people who were actually registered as needing housing. Among those who should have received apartments are large families, orphans and children left without parental care.
The budget of the agreement suffered multimillion-dollar damages. To obtain compensation, the prosecutor’s office filed six lawsuits to invalidate social lease agreements and the transfer of property rights and nine lawsuits to recover the market value of residential premises for a total of 19.7 million rubles.
