So, from January 10 to 31, the Sysoev Amur Zoo opens three reception points for coniferous beauties in Khabarovsk. They will be placed in the shopping center “Leroy Merlin” (Trekhgornaya St., 100), in the HOA area “Blago” (Kalarasha St., 13) and in the Zoo itself (Voronezhskoye Highway, 2).

In addition, a regional operator will install additional containers for the collection of trees in the regional capital. They will be located at: c/. 40 years of Victory, 6 and st. Artemovskaya, 132. It will be possible to bring fir trees here from 12:00 on January 15 to 12:00 on January 16 and at the same time on January 22 and 23.

In Komsomolsk-on-Amur, meals from January 9 to 15 will be organized by the Piton Zoo.

– We will open two reception points: on Ordzhonikidze street, 9/2 and on the second territory of the zoo center on the Komsomolskoye highway. The spruces will be used to decorate enclosures and feed the animals. Before handing over, we ask you to clean the tree of New Year’s tinsel and toys, do not treat it with flavors or chemicals. Yellowed or drooping spruces are also not suitable, since they cannot be used as animal feed, – said Olga Galaneva, director of the cultural and educational department of the zoological center.

– Everything that is being organized today is a private initiative, there is still no systematic work in that direction. Of course, we have to change the situation, involve local and regional authorities in joint activities. I believe that this will eventually happen, – said Vladimir Sidorov, president of the Khabarovsk regional branch of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation.

He also added that during the New Year holidays, the load on public services increases significantly.

– Every year we are faced with the fact that the amount of waste during this period increases by 2-3 times. Of course, the management companies and the regional operator are preparing in advance, using more equipment and people. In order to take out the garbage on time, the reg operator switches to a 24-hour operation mode. The task is not easy, but it must be solved without allowing excesses. In this sense, I would like to draw the attention of all of us to the culture of consumption. Yes, there are New Year’s traditions, but I think it is important to treat the celebration rationally, not to bring rampant consumption to the fore. This will be a plus for both health and the environment,” said Vladimir Sidorov.
